About AQUAPHOENIX
AQUAPHOENIX is a Horizon Europe project working to capture and reuse aquaculture waste. We apply novel scientific, technological and circular economic approaches to open pen aquaculture and help advance the transition towards a zero pollution Europe.
Through international collaboration, AQUAPHOENIX aims to develop and demonstrate an innovative solution to capturing waste and valorising its conversion into sustainable agriculture, aquaculture and energy products.

Funded under the same Horizon Europe call for Research and Innovation projects, AQUAPHOENIX will be collaborating and exchanging knowledge with our sister projects to shape new strategies for nutrient management and catalyse the transition to a Zero Pollution Europe.
The GREENHOOD project aims to re-balance nutrient flows to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss. They will develop zero-pollution solutions to reduce nutrient losses in soil, air, and water through innovation, circularity, and novel governance. The potential of innovative nutrient management strategies will be showcased in four basins in Spain, Belgium & the Netherlands, Finland, and Norway. GREENHOOD will contribute to the development of regionally tailored, scalable solutions for nutrient management, ensuring that each solution can be adapted to specific local needs and conditions.
The NPower project addresses the critical challenge of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) pollution. NPower is redefining how Europe manages these nutrients by bridging regional innovation with scalable solutions to reduce N/P emissions, restore regional nutrient balance, and promote sustainable resource use. The project establishes four regional clusters in Spain, Belgium, Finland, and Ireland, engaging policymakers to ensure adaptable, context-specific solutions. Through cross-sector collaboration, NPower paves the way for a more sustainable and resilient European nutrient economy with lasting benefits for communities and the environment.
